Description
Clean Email is the best privacy-oriented email cleaner and organizer that empowers you to unsubscribe from emails and take control of your inbox. It relies on powerful rules and filters to efficiently segment all emails in your mailbox into relevant groups, allowing you to quickly identify useful emails and cleanup your inbox from ones you don’t need in just a few clicks.
With Clean Email YOU CAN:
- Unsubscribe from emails you don't need.
- Remove, archive, move, label (and more!) groups of emails instead of selecting them one by one.
- Organize all of your emails into easy-to-review bundles to simplify email management.
- Automate any repetitive actions with your emails. Set it and forget it!
FREE FOR 1,000 EMAILS!
We've packed the following features for you:
SMART UNSUBSCRIBER
Use the Unsubscriber feature to make sure that unwanted newsletters and promotional emails will not show up in your inbox anymore. Check out all your subscriptions in one place and opt out from any of them with a few clicks with the Clean Email unsubscribe email app. Resubscribe to the newsletters if you want to receive any of them again.
READ LATER
Don’t need this email in your Inbox but might need it in the future? Choose to ‘Read Later’ and get a regular summary of emails in your ‘Read Later’ folder.
QUICK CLEAN
Quick Clean combines emails from all over your mailbox into a screen with easy-to-select actions to be applied, so you can clean your Inbox the fastest way.
SMART VIEWS
Instead of focusing on individual emails (which is the very reason mailbox cleaning is so time-consuming), Clean Email segments your mailbox using rules and filters. Do any actions with groups of emails using this email cleaner app instead of picking them one-by-one.
AUTO CLEAN
Emails matching the rule you set can be automatically removed, archived, moved, or labeled as they arrive in the future. Automate your repetitive tasks to organize your mailbox.
BLOCK SENDERS
Clean Email also allows you to block unwanted senders and to make sure that emails selected will never reach your inbox again.
Clean Email works with:
- Gmail and GSuite
- iCloud
- Yahoo Mail
- Hotmail, Outlook, Office 365
- AOL
- Fastmail
- GMX Mail
- Any IMAP account
and more!

Ratings and Reviews
Do Not Reccommed
The app does not work as advertised. Its is not user friendly - I am a compuational scientist, and do not believe this is user error. App does not effectively unsubscribe from email accounts. In fact, in subscribes you to multiple daily emails from clean mail.
Customer service was as useless as the app. Could not resolve issues, or issue a refund. Customer service rep was condescending, and rude.
Would not reccommend unless you have copious amounts of time to sort through emails, and toy around with a janky app.
*Update in response to Kyryl*:
The tact of your response is a good representation of the condescending and rude tone the customer service representative used. Thanks for making that clear to future purchasers.
I was told "If you’re having issues with this app, please contact the app’s developer directly" by apple which is why I contacted clean email. That is actually taken from the same page you linked, Kyryl. I appologize for bothering you, Kyryl.
Finally, I absolutely did not threaten anyone or anything. In fact, I said "I have not yet posted a review of the service, but will do so after working with customer service on this.", because as a high-volume online purchaser reviews are important to me, and customer service can be a redeeming factor. I may have given 2-3 stars for clean email, had I dealt with a great customer service representitive. Again, this was not a threat.
My review stands.
Developer Response ,
Kyryl here, founder of Clean Email. After reading your review I went through your exchange with our support.
First, let me address your claim that the app does not work as advertised. We do not ever advertise or promise to send "unsubscribe" requests. In fact, we explain our approach multiple times (during your initial scan, right on top of the Unsubscriber screen, and in a support article our representative sent you in response to your original email.) There are multiple reasons for this approach but most of email cleaning applications work in the same way because this is the only way to actually make sure that you are no longer seeing emails you do not want to be seeing. It's not in the marketers' best interest to allow you to unsubscribe easily and there's no way software like Clean Email can go through multi-step unsubscribe process with CAPTCHAs, arbitrary field names etc.
Second, that is correct — our support cannot issue refunds for purchases made in the Mac App Store or the App Store. It is widely known that Apple does not provide developers with any means to control subscriptions or issue refunds - which as I can see he explained to you in your exchange. Check out this article https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084
And third, in no way our support representative was rude or condescending. I went through your exchange twice trying to understand what made you think that. But all I am seeing is you threatening to write a review if a refund is not issued. As I mentioned above, we cannot.

I understand your frustration and we would issue a refund if we could. We strive to both build a great service and provide great customer support. We are sorry the service was not what you expected.
Shouldn't be having these problems
I'll either raise or lower the rating based on assistance I'm given. Purchased this app on the app store. Should be easy? Not. Paid for app . Opened app and being asked to upgrade. Ok...After restoring purchase per instructions...hung up on validating purchase screen. Yes I paid for app, can't access. It's a Sunday, I get it. If up and running tomorrow I will update..If not I will gather refund and give my experience.
Developer Response ,
Hello, we are sorry for your experience. Could you please reach out to us at support@clean.email so we can check it on our end and provide you with the necessary assistance.
Not free
You can only use the app when you upgrade to purchase.
Developer Response ,
Hello! Our free version allows to manage (delete/archive/move, etc.) up to 1000 emails. After upgrade users have no limitations in using the app's features (Auto Clean filters, Unsubscriber, managing any amount of emails). We charge an honest price for our service, because our choice is not to sell users' data.
